What better way to provide you with Steve's history & background than to have Steve tell you himself. Below is an email sent by Steve to some old High School friends he reconnected with; as you read through it you quickly realize what type of MAN Steven truly is.........

"After graduation from Cat High in 1976 I attended St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH and graduated in May of 1980 with a BA in Business & Economics and minor in Political Science. From there I went to Grad School in California at Cal State/Chico where I had way too much fun partying in the California sun! I came back after grad school and worked in Boston until moving to Meredith, NH on Lake Winnipesaukee to join the family business. My father owned an insurance agency in Laconia, NH and I always loved the Lakes Region. In 1984 I married the love of my life...Marybeth McGrath...we met in Manchester NH at St. Anselm and have been married for 25 years this past September. Our first child, Deidre, was born in Jan/1986. My dad also passed away in June/1986 at age 51 from cancer-bittersweet year for sure. Our second child Megan was born May/1988, same year we built our first house - nightmare contractor- tested the marriage for sure. Our third child, Erin, was born March/1991- we couldn't take her home for a month because she had infection - scary but she was fine thank God! After my dad passed I knew I didn't want to stay in family biz anymore and work for his partner so I sold my shares, house, etc. and moved to South Shore of Boston in Pembroke in 1992 and here we have lived ever since...my wife grew up in Weymouth, Mass. All her family are here and we love being near the ocean and Boston...I am a sports fanatic. My daughter Deidre-24- Megan 21- Erin 19 are all in college and we are for the first time empty nestors. Dee graduated from Stonehill in 08 and is now at Suffolk Grad School 2010- will be getting Masters on May 22nd -She is going to Chicago Scool of Psychology for 5 year PhD this fall. Megan is in her Senior year at Anna Maria College in Worcester - criminal justice major - Erin is freshman at UNH - Durham NH maj in Political Science :)
My family is my life whom I am most proud. My wife is 2nd grade teacher here in Pembroke and loves her job. My father always told me...happy wife...happy life! Now the biggest challenge in my life is when I suffered a stroke in Feb/05- I have been out of work since but DO NOT miss corporate life at all- it is a daily struggle but have recovered nicely with a lot of hard work at Braintree Rehab Hospital. I am now involved in their wellness program and volunteer my time with stroke/brain injury patients. Life is short but sweet for sure!"
